It hit the heart differently when you are deserted by the one you shared your pain to. They became your confidant, the listening ear, and without realizing it, you feel in love. This person said they will heal you, be there for you and more and they did! You really have a best friend, lover, and a spirit up lifter. Suddenly, your life is like living in a beautiful garden, with butterflies, green grass, sunflowers, bright sunshine and at night the fireflies are giving extra light along with the moon. It is gorgeous! There is noise and chaos around the garden, yet you cannot hear it. You’re in love again, even though you were not ready or healed, it just feels so good. Then, there’s the telephone conversations, lovey-dovey text messages, GIF love images, naughty talk, smiles and joy when you see each other. The kisses, good mornings, and the “I miss you, baby” always fill the air. It is so hard to not want to be in this garden presented to you. “This is the real deal, right?” you ask.
Instantaneously, something happened! The garden’s butterflies flown away, the flowers withered, the grass is now broken chunks of rocks and concrete, the sun has turned into a dim, mean, and scary light 24/7. The Love that felt so salubrious is now stifling you, the noise and chaos is loud, deafening! Now, the once kind words are cunning and deceitful! The replays of everything makes your heart race, almost to madness but you still can’t leave this deserted place. You’re spinning around looking and crying buckets of tears while asking in agony, “What happened to ‘Our’ garden?” “Did I do this?” “No, I couldn’t have, I did everything to make it work and it was…” You paused to think. “Oh my God! There were signs, intuitions, and highlights you brushed off!” You gave the benefit of the doubt with your heart to a masked monster. A destroyer.
However, you ask “I thought we are in love?” The new responses from the deceitful opponent are gas lighting, manipulation, disgust and blame you for being dumped. There is no more kindness, love, consideration, your spirit is now cast down at every attempt for an explanation and you are no longer being uplifted. The garden was never real, it was a temporary web built on venomous sand. Evil prowls for the pure at heart to charm, beguile and destroy. He or She is on an assignment to break Spirits because theirs are dark, broken and on a mission to take down as many as possible. They enjoy feeding their sick ego. “Run” I say, Escape the web as quickly as you can! It can be deadly in more ways than one, do not look back, please.
Don’t be dismayed my dear reader. The real garden is being built by God’s unchanging hands which takes time, structure, patience and order. Do not rush into any relationship to escape heartbreak, pain and being alone. Spend time with yourself and have self-compassion. Real love is around the corner and closer than you can blink. And know that God has a plan for your life and his will, will be done. So, what did not work out, had to happened because he has a bigger and better plan, and future for you.
