Celebrate Inauguration Weekend

Below is an email I received from Rock the Vote about President Barack Obama’s Inauguration this Weekend!

It’s hard to believe that Inauguration Weekend is already upon us. It feels like just yesterday we were frantically registering voters, knocking on doors, and making phone calls in time for Election Day.

Time flies. And we’re excited to celebrate the youth vote and our election work this InaugurationWeekend. If you’re hitting up Washington, D.C. this week, then we would love to meet up and celebrate with you in person. You can check out all of our events on our Inauguration page. We have something for everyone – dance parties with Janelle Monae, concerts from Delta Rae, a booth at the National Day of Service Fair…there’s no denying that we’ve got you covered this weekend.

We’d love to see you in D.C., but totally understand if you can’t make the trip. In fact, you can still celebrate with us and do it from the comfort of your own home. That’s right – we can virtually hang out during the Inauguration. Here’s how:

    1. Like us on Facebook and make sure to check our page throughout the weekend. We’ll be updating it with backstage photos from concerts, live updates of our events, and cool facts about the Inauguration. Check it out and leave us a comment with your thoughts.

    1. Follow us on Twitter for live updates from our events and concerts. Tweet us photos of your homemade Inauguration celebrations with the hashtag #InaugurationRocks and we’ll retweet the best ones.

    1. Follow us on Instagram and keep up with our Inauguration happenings through your photo feed. Take pictures and use #InaugurationRocks while you’re at it!

  1. Watch the Inauguration live with millions around the world. On Monday, we’ll post a live-stream of the ceremony on our Facebook page. Take a gander and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Your virtual Inauguration host,

Caitlin
