I am so happy that Trayvon Martin’s death isn’t blown over or closed as a cold case file. I commend and love that even Celebrities are showing tribute by wearing hoodies and taking a picture, for the world to see! The unity among Black people at this moment makes my heart very proud, for this is an unfortunate matter at the Nation’s hand. A lot of young black men lives were taken in the past, and their case have been closed, but God is so good! Whatever is in the dark, must come to light, and nothing stays the same forever.
I am a believer that, WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES BACK AROUND. So, the people in power who can facilitate the Martin’s justice for their son’s death, should take the legal action to handle George Zimmerman’s incarceration. In addition, I know (and others in this world), and let me say it again, I (we) know that if it was the other way around, an arrest would have been made ASAP!

I think one question that needs to be discussed alongside this issue is a very simple one. If Trayvon Martin had been a White blue eyed, blonde haired boy who was shot by a Hulking Black man who had once been charged for a Felony, as Zimmerman had been in the past, what would have happened.
I know what happens in the Justice system! The Black man would have immediately been arrested, tried and given the harshest sentence possible!!
Crime in America has a Black face and Americans Black and White have been brain washed into believing that lie. The only way it can be changed is by changing strict liability laws in the books, the attitude of law enforcement against minorities (Black men especially) AND the attitude of the minorities themselves. If we keep glorifying the Thug life and acting like fools to sell music, if the emphasis in the Black community continues to be on other avenues of money making as opposed to education first so that we can change the national dialogue. Nothing will change.
The airwaves were bombarded by Natalee Holloway but missing Black women are NOT carried with any consistency, or at all by the major networks.
There is an African saying which goes thus” If you are alone in a ditch, you must make a plan to dig out yourself:. I agree with the outcry, but we must force a national dialogue.
And this dialogue starts by encouraging a new crop of young Black/Hispanic Americans who are educated enough and understand the political and justice systems enough, and are strong enough in number and knowledge to make a difference.
I know the struggle continues.

I understand every point you’ve stated, and unfortunately I am so outraged about a lot of issues among African Americans. And the justice system, but I leave a lot of the matters in God’s hands because it’s too much for one person to think about.
